Three sets of business cards/letter heads/compliment slips, all designed and based around the existing designs done for the final business card sets. I think that the style of the letter heads and the compliment slips look too formal for their purpose, to the point where they look more business related rather than restaurant, if I had the opportunity to change these, the designs wouldn't be so plain and conformist, type faces would be changed as well as the boring little designs at the bottom.

Set of three business cards created, keeping consistent with the colour palette used within the logo, I didn't want to over complicate the design so I kept it as simple as possible, so the logo/text would not be lost in translation. All of the cards feature the bistro logo and the relevant contact information on either the same or opposite sides. My personal favourite design is the first one, I think the repeated house shape pattern is a nice touch, and is a bit better to look at than just a blank side of text.
If i were to recreate these the main thing I would change is the type used for the information text, it just looks a little bit bland and I could have spent more time finding a suitable one.

haus bistro logo, designed for the staff bistro at Newcastle College. The reasoning behind the name I chose was; The building the bistro is located is called Rye Hill house, and the usage of the word "haus" looks more modern than "house". This was the idea I chose to take further from a selection of quick sketches.
Logo done for Newcastle University, for "sync". I don't remember what they are or do, but I just remember that they wanted a modern looking logo, and used the phrase "think tank" as a key word to describe it, and it had something to do with academics coming together to share information.
I think I ticked all of the boxes with my design, but it didn't get chosen. They musn't have an eye for brilliant design.
dictated but not read.

I made this sucka in 2010 when I used to dick about in Photoshop all the time, I didn't make it for any real reason, but I remeber I saw something similar when I was younger in some sort of animated film, I think it might have been some Aladin film? I have no idea. But anyway I just remember the turtle thing with like an island on it's back, and I've made my own version with a castle, crawling out from the sea onto land in some far off planet in some galaxy that doesn't exsist. I won't get too into depth about how I went about creating it, but I used a series of stock photo's and blended and manipulated them all together to try and create a seemless looking image, that could almost be real.
